anyone able to register product on asus.com?

I wanted to register the product and it tells me my serial # is invalid!

Serial # on box, receipt from Google play and under android settings all match anyone have any idea why it says this?

Is it even necessary for me to register the product if I want to make use of their limited warranty in the future?

Not sure exactly but if you purchased from the play store I have a feeling Google would be quicker and more apt to cover any issues rather than Asus.

if you purchased your N7 through the Google Play store your pretty much covered with Google for your one year warranty.

No need to register as the serial number is attached to the date you activated the unit. I had the same question before I called Asus Cust Svc to register. They told me no need. I bought my units from office max and radio shack.

OK thanks a lot, just thought it was weird that the serial number was showing up as invalid.
