So when I was charging my Nexus 7 today I accidentally hit the cord and knocked it off the desk. For the most part its just fine but now it doesn't start charging when I plug it in. Looks fairly easy to fix from watching videos on YouTube, but I was wondering if a charge port from an android phone would work instead of ordering a new part? Also does anyone know if this even needs replacing or is it something fixable just by opening it up? The charge port looks fine to me but I will add some photos. The most I can see is that one of the metal tabs on top is slightly bent, but I did my best to bent it back.

Hey I had the same problem recently, but fixed it myself. You probably already know these steps, but heres how I got mines to work after months of it being dead.
