How do I view Gmail emails in landscape mode on the Tablet?

How to view Gmail emails in landscape mode on tablet

I was wondering if there is a way to view the individual emails in full in landscape mode? I know that if I put the tablet (Nexus 9) in portrait, it is full screen. But if I view in landscape, there is only a small portion to the right. Any ideas?

Can you take a screenshot of Gmail when in landscape? Kinda hard to know what is going on without a picture.

When you have the tablet in portrait mode and open an email it uses the full width of the screen. You tap an arrow to get back to the list.

In landscape the screen is split in two with the list of emails on the left and the current email on the right.

Don't see any way to change that. Don't know how to take a screen shot on the N9. Tried the power/volume combo but that didn't work.

Volume down plus power. When you release it snaps the screenshot.

Thanks, that's what I thought it was but hard to do with the buttons on mine. I'll upload a couple shots illustrating the Gmail question asked.
