Subject line says it all. I'm considering dropping T-Mobile/SGS4 and going with Project Fi/Nexus 5X.

I had used T-Mobile's wifi calling for a bit after initial purchase 2 years ago and then stopped after a lot of dropped calls in my house while 10' (line of sight) from the router. Didn't know if it was a T-Mobile, SGS4, Android, or router/backhaul QoS issue. So, wondering how the Project Fi experience is working out with the 5X. In the meantime, I've turned wifi calling back on to see if things have improved with the existing setup.

No issues at all so far. I also had (previously) dropped wifi calls on both sprint and T-mobile phones. So far my 5x has been flawless on wifi and makes the transition to a cell tower (when I'm driving away on phone) without even a hiccup. Coupled with good public wifi coverage I've used .27GB on data and 5.8gb on wifi... Best carrier move I've made in a long time.
