Apps "reset" after a while

Say I'm browsing imgur or some other website and I'm at a certain point, a specific image or place in a text/article. If I minimize the app or open another app, after a couple of minutes or when I turn my screen off and on again, the website or imgur or whatever will have "reset", meaning it's back to the front page and not at the picture I was looking at last, or top of the article I was reading instead of the middle of the page where I left off. Does anyone have any idea why this happens and if it's possible to turn off? Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! It might have to do with Huawei's aggressive RAM management. Look in Settings>Advanced Settings>Battery Manager>Protected Apps, and make sure the browser is Protected. If it isn't, then it's prone to being closed quickly by the system in order to "clean RAM" (the utility of which I always question, because this isn't how Android was designed).
