I'm interested in buying an Honor 10, which looks like a fantastic phone for a great price. My main concern is the level of software updates that I can expect.

What updates has the Honor 9 received? I see that it launched in June 2017 with Android 7.0, and has been upgraded to Android 8.0. That is a good sign. How long do you expect the Honor 9 to get updates, for new Android versions and/or security fixes? Can I expect something similar with the Honor 10?

Answering cause it's so quiet in here.
I have 9 lite. This came with oreo but had an update since I got it to give facial recognition.
I'm sure I read 8.1 android is kicking around but so far I'm still 8.0.

Hoping they do support all their devices a long time as thought my previous phone {Samsung} was poor support. Im at least expecting 9 from this when it comes out.

My wife has the Honor 9. Although the phone is still on 8.0, I'm impressed that security updates are coming through every couple of months (she just got the May one), which is significantly better than some other phone manufacturers I can think of!
