HTC10 Text notification sound too quite

Is there a way to increase the text message alert sound without increasing the volume of the ringer for phone calls on the HTC10? I am using Message+ (Verizon Messages) as my SMS app and haven't been able to find a way to do this from within the app settings. I can hardly hear my text alerts no matter which chime/sound I select if I am in an area with noise or my phone is in my pocket. I do have it set to "ring" louder when the phone is in my pocket in the phone settings.

I have tried adjusting the "Volumes" in the settings of the phone but that makes the phone ringer much too loud when I make the text alert easily heard.

Any thoughts or suggestions out there?
