camera usues 94% of battery

the girlfriend has had battery issues so here recently i have been trying to narrow it down but every time i go to battery use it says camera 94% android system 2% cell stand by 2% phone idle 2%???? how is the camera eating up all that battery when she doesn't use it?? any suggestions

Did she even fire it up even once since last boot?

If I start up the camera mine does that, ended up that using a task killer to stop the camera app was the only way (other than a complete shutdown) to correct the battery usage.
