mms not downloading

recently when recieving mms on my eris there is a problem downloading i have also noticed it does not send them. im using handcent and have tried switching back to the stock messaging app but no dice... any help would be much appreciated

You need 3G on to do this in ANY message app.

I have decent 3G in my area and the same happens when I send to most non-VZ phones (ie, AT&T and/or Sprint). I, too, have been using handcent for a couple of months now and the same happens if I switch back to the Native App. Contacted tech at VZ, but they were unable to resolve it. Come to think of it, a friend on the VZ network using the LG Env Touch sent me a pic, but I could download it.. WTF???

Well, if you are saying that it wont download even with 3G on, thats a whole different story. It has happened to me a few times too, I just keep trying to download it and it eventually does. I am not aware of a solution, I figure it has something to do with the OS, so i'm just waiting for the newer OS now.
