So after doing some searching I saw this hack someone put on a you tube comment to increase speed of the IPHONE on Sprint.... So i decided to try it and document my findings...
1.) GET MSL Code front sprint
2.) Go to Dialer and type in ##3282#
3.) hit edit mode and type in your msl code
4.) Click Advance and go to MSID
5.) it most likely will be your area code and phone number if u wanna go back to standard
6.) click it and erase number and put in your area code followed by 3 digit zip..... you can find yours here
Obtaining US Zip Codes in One Step
and lastly the numbers 3283 so it would be like XXXXXXXXXX no spaces
7. hit ok and you commit the changes.... ( on my evo 3d i just hit the button with the lines in the circle on the right of the home screen and hit commit changes when it pops up
8.) phone should restart
See if it works for you.... if not u can always go back and re enter in you phone number in that MSID
I did some speed tests and
Before i made changes
3g Ping 275 DL 1258 UL 522
Wi Fi Ping 91 DL 8108 UL 1444
After i changed the MSID
3g Ping 292 DL 865 UL 281
WIFI Ping 67 DL 7142 UL 7640
Ping was higher on 3g after.... MY DL and Ul were lower and my UL was way better on the wifi
I also just browsed a few web pages... noticed a bit of a faster load up after my changes and my grooveshark loaded better in 3g than normally... i'm not that big of a phone tweaker so just let me know .... Thanks for reading.
