I heard the rumored release date was June 11, but that was before the press conference. If pre-orders start May 7 does a release of June 11 still make sense?

June 10 - I've seen that in a dozen places, though most of them get their info from this site it seems. It's a Sunday, which coincides with all of the Radio Shack/Best Buy/Walmart/Staple ads coming out and the start of a new sales week for everyone. I expect, then, that a lot of the preorders will be showing up on Friday and Saturday.

Traditionally, the EVO has been released on a Friday. June 8th is a Friday.... Just a guess based on the past...

I asked the HTC rep that comes to my store, and he confidently said well get it before June 10th. We can only hope that is the truth, I cant wait to get my hands on this phone.

Yup...

EVO 4G was launched on Friday, June 4, 2010
EVO 3D was launched on Friday, June 24, 2011

So the EVO 4G LTE will most likely be launched on either June 8, 15, 22, or 29 of this year.

I'm banking on June 8th also.

went to sprint corp store today and the employee (Not some 19 year old/probably the shift leader) said he believed they would be selling them early june, possibly earlier. He said they would get their hands on one before hand though.
