I link my FB newsfeeds to BlinkFeed and I did that within the first week of owning the phone so lets say it's been about 2-mos now. Well ever since I have noticed random people, companies, etc. being liked or subscribed to in my newsfeed. Some are in foreign languages, some are links to porn and all kinds of spammy stuff. It started happening when I linked my FB newsfeeds to BlinkFeed. At first it was very random and I would just un-like or un-subscribe to whatever or whoever and that was it but today I got bombarded with this junk. Has this happened to anyone else? I just spent the last hour going through every item that wasn't supposed to be there, deleted all of it and I logged out of my FB app and online account.

What should I do? Un-install and re-install the FB app? Could this be happening on my PC end of things and it's just a coincidence it started when I linked my FB account to my phone?

It linked porn on your Facebook? I thought it would only show recommendations based on your previous search results.
If fb randomly puts porn ads on fb then I'm deleting my account permanently. My child has a fb too

Let me clarify and give you a visual. Here are two examples of what I am talking about. This type of crap is popping up in my newsfeeds. Now I just got done deleting all of this garbage a little while ago and then logged out of my FB app and online account. I just logged back in to find these two junk posts among others. With regard to the porn...that was sometime last week. It was a post similar to what you see below from some guy I never heard off and had a pic of a girl in a bikini. When I opened the post to "unlike" it there was a long list of links and based on the words you could tell it was definitely porn. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I can stop it?

You can try going on Facebook on a desktop and you can see what ads are on the right of your feed. You can find the ones you posted and hide them forever.

No sure how they got there in the first place. Perhaps you visited a site and that's a correlated ad.

FB is starting to be a big problem. I am hoping to just use Google +. The way they have tried to take control of people is crazy.

I've tried that but new ones just keep coming. Not sure what to do about this.

It seems to me that some other app or person is messing with your Facebook account. Try looking in the apps section in the Facebook website and see if there any that got added by you (or someone else) recently. Delete them and see if you stop seeing those posts.

There actually were some apps listed there that I have never used before. I deleted everything that wasn't supposed to be there and changed my account password. That was last night around 10pm and this morning I had no spam/unwanted posts in my newsfeed which is a good sign because yesterday it was non-stop. I'm not ready to say the issue has been resolved just yet, however not getting any of these unwanted posts overnight is a very good sign seeing it was happening every few minutes yesterday.

If only I could convince my friends to do the same. I've been off fb for two years but I miss some aspects of social networks. I just refuse to go back to Facebook.

It could be that a questionable app you authorized added those, it happens but it's always better to keep tabs from time to time on what apps have you granted permission. I hope you won't see any more posts like that after having deleted them.

I agree. I think it unlikely that blinkfeed or HTC had anything to so with these apps/feeds/etc... Throwing porn up on your wall. I have received sketchy links posted to my wall or messaged in FB from friends who's FB account had been hacked or phished I guess.

Wouldn't these be suggested sites or products based off the users previous searches or likes? I thought that's how it worked

You may be right, I dunno actually. I mean, I just assumed the OP hadn't been porning it up. But yeah I guess if he/she has been getting his/her porn on whilst on FB that could be a culprit.

Trust me I wasn't porning it up. If I was I have absolutely no problem admitting it. Basically there was more than one app in the App Center under "Your Apps" that I have never used before. Two of them were Yelp and Trip Advisor. There were a few others but I forget what they were. I deleted all the apps and changed my account password and so far so good. It's just weird cuz I don't think Yelp or Trip Advisor would be responsible for porn-like content on my FB account. Anyway I'm just glad it seems to be OK now :D
