Glance Wake Up Feature

Does the HTC One have a glance wake up feature? Like double tap or wave your hand to get phone out of sleep mode vs always using the power button? Or a 3rd party app?

no it doesnt have a glance wake up feature.


yes there are apps that do this in the play store (most of the time apparently).

Wouldn't this be a burden on the battery, with constantly monitoring the camera? Wouldn't you also get some false positives? On this note I will say that my friend got the S4 and that eye tracking trick it does is pretty cool. The air gestures are also cool but if I'm going to wave at the phone I might as well touch it, know what I mean?

yes all these gimmiky apps that rely on sounds and/or gestures to make something happen are a huge battery hog, and mostly unreliable.


i would only use them if they were specifically designed by the OEM for the device i purchased.
