I have no power button, how do I turn on my M8?

my htc one m8 is rooted and the power button is broken and only the vol down button works how do i turn it on

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure if that's possible. If USB Debugging was turned on, then plug the phone into your computer and use ADB on the computer to send an "adb reboot" command to the phone. But I suspect the phone would have to be powered on in some state for that command to work.

If you can get to the 2 spots the power switch is connected to, short them for about 1 second. That's what the power witch does. If not, you'll have to have the switch replaced. (And yes, adb needs the phone turned on to work.)

Which two spots on the board are they?

I tried doing this with my tweezers, but it didn't help. So, I am just lost right now without a phone or a place to get a switch without buying a new phone.
