Correct setup hotmail account android 5.1

Hi guys. i converted my m8 to gpe and when i setup hotmail account there is two options, outlook.com(pop,imap) and exchange. what is the best option to use for a hotmail account? which causes less drain in battery? i always used exchange but was confused because in outlook option have imap. thanks.

IMAP is usually the better way to go. It can duplicate the folder structure of your webmail, and it doesn't have to physically download the emails locally--it accesses the emails in the cloud.

that is why i got confused. exchange does the same as imap but don't know which one is better.
