Notification LED issue (?)

Hi!

I am on Marshmallow (if it matters) and my notification light only blinks green, no matter what color I set it in apps that allow it.
It kind of defeats the purpose of the LED, if I always have to look at the screen to know what notification it is.

Anyone else got this issue? How did you solve it?

Thanks =)

same as above. I thought that the M9 had red and yellow lights?
red for power related events, yellow for messages, and that's pretty much it

Nope, red for charging (and, I believe blinking red for heat?) and green (solid for charged and blinking for notifications)

What is the point of offering LED color customisation then? XD

OK, I can tell by your profile pic that you might have come from apple products. So I'll try to be basic. Android=open source=freedom
Apple=pretty much the equivalent of smartphone prison. Which is why they call modding an iPhone "jailbreaking". Just because you are able to customize it(led notification light) through Android, doesn't mean HTC offers it on their phones. HTC has never offered or mentioned the fact that their phones can. Samsung can. Maybe other oems but that's all I know.
