HSBC App - does it work?

My wife has been coveting my Mate 9 for a while now and wants to make the switch from the Note 4. However I just want to make sure that the HSBC banking app will work on this phone before she does?

I know from bitter experience that none of the Barclays apps work (and they haven't since I got the phone about 6 months ago) - If she gets one and the app doesn't work I will never heat the last of it!

I just downloaded it and it ask to update which I did and it looks good. no problems.
