:'(Well 2 months ago I got really drunk and went swimmng with my EVO 4G Sense with sprint...(MAJOR FAIL)so instead of paying a $100 deductible with my insurance, to replace that phone, I bought an EVO 4G with a cracked screen so I can mess with it and learn how to root it. I've been reading on here as well as xda and alot of the language seems foreign and i don't know what sites to go to to be able and find kernals, roms, and different apps.I have this laptop for a short time, then I will be on my phone until I get my personal laptop back in about a week so.Until then I will have to ask you wonderful MODS, DEVS, and whatnot to maybe point me in the right direction as to where the latest OG EVO tweaks and tips are? I'm breezing through anything I put my mind to and i'm into gadgets and how to function freely on them..I don't play games on my phone too much, but i would love to unlock it and have it run to its best use.
1. First off, whats the order I start in to flash my phone?
2. Can I backup mu unrooted version before rooting?
3.Where do I find these "files" or apps to install on the phone?
4.Why would i need to unroot?
5.Can i save my backup on the laptop?
