Barely had my LG G2 VS980 a month and the screen cracked right through the middle. Pattern lock won't work, and because of the crack location, I cant even enter my Google info or my backup pin to unlock...tried hooking up to my laptop thinking I could access as an external like my old iPhone...didn't work...tried going through cloud and my contacts are safe, but that's all I can access....PLEASE HELP!!! I have over 300 pictures and almost ALL of them are of my daughter from the day she was born till now.

I hate to hear that you cant get access to those photos, I cant imagine how you feel.

Since the phone has no SD card there are only a few kptions we have to recover those photos.

1. Backing them up to a cloud service (Verizon Cloud etc.).
2. Trying to recover the photos on a PC via USB.
3. Scouring social media for said photos.

From the information you provided, option 1 is eliminated. I know you tried option 2 but , it SHOULD work, but its possible the screen lock is preventing access.

To be honest I recommend calling into Verizon. Yes they will help. I happen to work with Verizon Tech Coach, and handle issues like your's daily. Best of luck!

Find somewhere to replace the screen. Even send it to LG if needed. Then set your phone up for recovery by installing and running at least Verizon's VZ Cloud from the Playstore.

did you ever figure this out? if not i may have some suggestions using a usb OTG cable but i dont know how that works if you have a pattern unlock. let me know and ill respond with my thoughts.

I bought a female USB to mini USB cord and plugged in to a mouse. You can use the mouse to save all your pics and other data. I just did this with mine last week. Good luck.

Dale Lindsay has the easy answer. You need to buy a USB OTG adapter. You can order it online for about $3. For the LG G2 make sure the adapter is a mini-USB-to-female-USB. Best if you order it from a cell phone accessories supplier. They have the right part. You also need a wireless mouse. Just make sure the wireless mouse has a USB receiver (almost all of them do). Plug the adapter into the phone, plug the wireless receiver into the adapter and the mouse shows up on your screen. You use the mouse just like your finger on the screen. Go to YouTube and search "Retrieve pictures & files from an LG G2 with a smashed screen" to see how it works.
