H815 Unlocking / Rooting / TWRP (Paying!)

Once it's unlocked you will need to fastboot TWRP if you want to flash SuperSu, ROM, kernel, etc.

Once unlocked and rooted, will I still be able to do a Factory Reset?

On the 'adb reboot bootloader' command it says in CMD, 'error: device 'null' not found'.

I've tried it many times. I can clearly see it as G4 in My Computer, I can go into it and see the folders on the internal memory.

I downloaded installer_r24.3.4-windows.exe from here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#Other

I installed the SDK Manger and installed the Google USB Drive and the Platform Tools, got the 3 files, did the cmd as you see in my image...

I never had to installed the G4 drivers or anything, it just installed it when I plugged it in and always worked. On the box it also says SEA, does that mean it can't be unlocked by the LG site way? I heard SEA can't be unlocked??

So...?

Still getting the null error, but doing adb devices in CMD I get this.

C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\tools>adb devices
List of devices attached

Then it lists 2 empty lines, its not seeing the phone or something, not sure what to do.

I opened CMD and did"

adb kill-server
adb start-server

Plugged it in and did the adb devices and got this:

C:\Users\Owner>adb devices
List of devices attached
LGH81567593392 device

Guess I'll try the next step in unlocked when I wake up. Any reason it has all those numbers after H815?

Honestly I'm not sure. I'd have to do some research or play around with my own phone to answer some of those questions but unfortunately I don't have time for that currently. You might have to post on XDA and see if someone there can help.

I got it fixed before you posted that so you should have read my posts.

Anyways, what I still wanna do is root it, update the firmware, and install a up to date stock Android 5.1 so I have just the OS, no LG bloat.

I guess to get root I have to flash TWRP?

From what I found I need to download it from here: https://dl.twrp.me/h815/

Place that in the root directory of my SD card, not internal, then I'm sure I need to do something in CMD?

I tried searching the forums, maybe I wasn't searching the correct term, didn't find much. Any tutorials on this? I'm sure there are.

Please don't take this as my intending to be harsh (imagine my voice in a calm and soothing tone), but tourbound has answered your last question at least twice in a fairly short thread. Take a deep breath and let some of this stuff sink in for a moment. Go back and re-read the messages up to now. I think this will help you and make it less likely you make an irreversible mistake.

I linked the threads that will be of most help to you regarding TWRP. I know in at least one of them there was directions. You will have to fastboot TWRP. You won't have root until you either flash SuperSu or root your system image.
