G5 Camera megapixel select?

I've done a few searches and i can't seem to come up with anyhting on how to select the size of the files, or megapixels for the camera on the G5. I only notice that the there are three aspect ratios to choose from, but what does this translate into, megapixel wise?

Pretty much the number of megapixels in the CCD - basically 16MP on the main camera and 8MP on the secondary camera. Since you can record in RAW format, you won't lose much. LG doesn't concentrate too much on what number of pixels you get for each format, they're more concerned with the picture quality (which is quite good for a phone, not too good for a camera).

So there's basically no way of turning down the file size, its either 16 or 8 with the wide angle. Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I think that's the only way of reducing it, but i haven't compared two files using both these settings.
