I currently have a Sprint LG Optimus S and have experienced it's low memory error frequently. I have lots of free internal memory but low system memory. Does anyone have any information that LG has addressed issue on later smartphones and in particular on the Optimus G? I am really tired of having to closely monitor my apps to keep from getting a low memory error.

As far as I know that error can still happen if you max out your internal Memory. Your option is to move apps to the sdcard. I'm just hoping LG partitioned atleast two gigs to app storage. But I'm pretty sure ics changed the way google handles system memory

I can't imagine that being an issue with the Optimus G. It has 2GB of RAM whereas the Optimus S only has 512MB of RAM.

Btw, I currently own the Optimus S as well and have run into the same issue. Not only with the system memory, but with internal storage. Can't wait to check the Optimus G out!

There is no dedicated size for the /data/app partiton. You have 25GB free (Sprint version) to divide up however it needs to be divided to hold your stuff.

Jerry, That's great to know. I'm so tired of not being able to install the updated apps such Google Maps, Play Store to name a couple. I'm looking forward to having 25GB of storage.
