Changed default message app, receiving random messages on stock app

Hi all.

I have changed the default app for messages to textra and google messages. Send and receive is fine on both but occasionally I receive a message that only appears on the stock app. I think apn settings are good, reset network settings. Any ideas ?

Its because of T-Mobile RSC. You can try this work around.

- Go to or drag stock Messages icon to the top of the screen, over "App Info"

- Press on "Permissions"

- Switch off "SMS"

On the messages I did receive, they did not also show up in my other apps.
Any chance I will miss a text by denying per miss??

I have no problem. Been texting to myself on different # to see. All sms went though.
