Ah I see, interesting, I haven't tested the feature with any other notifications (though I vaguely remember BBM coming through...but I could be wrong). That makes a bit more sense then as it was WhatsApp notifications that were coming through :)

Also if you set your phone in priority mode, I believe you will see a star there instead.

Re: Swiftkey not working on Lollipop I uninstalled and reinstalled SwiftKey to get it working. It now works for me, but it seems too laggy for my needs. Everytime I hit enter, it takes about 2-3 seconds for the keyboard to work again. Google keyboard and Swype works almost perfectly fine...

That was my understanding too. Where my confusion comes into play is when the setting is on "all" with everything else also on (vibrate + sound), everything comes through, as intended. While the vibrate + sound is on, and I switch it to "priority", both vibrations and sounds still come through...

I don't understand why they axed the silent mode. I just did some testing with WhatsApp and with Priority mode on + sound, my phone still vibrates and audibly notifies. With priority mode on and vibrate only, my messages come through but there is no vibration nor any sound (i.e. silent mode). So...

SwiftKey seems to have some strange lag for me. Google Keyboard and Swype doesn't have any issue. Rocket Player works but Lollipop has screwed up the ability to change/view songs on the lockscreen.

+1. No more gallery app even though Gallery is my preference.

Re: Google Camera app appears? Just noticed the change and played around with it. Haven't gone outside to take pictures but is it just me or do the pictures not look as sharp anymore? It's almost like all the pictures are dimmer and the colours/details aren't as distinctive as before...

I left the plastic on the lens too because the camera sticks out a bit...so on any hard surfaces, the camera lens is what will be on the surface for the most part. Although it looks stupid because of the white "peel-off" section, at least it won't be scratched. Am I just being paranoid?

Re: Great Battery life So far, impressive I could take my phone off charger, put it to sleep, wake up 7 hours later for work, and see my phone drain at least 5%....sometimes even 10%. I don't really understand why... Good coverage area, always full bars. Usually don't have much, if anything...

Re: N5 charging through USB very slow? Good question...on my app list, it's called "Battery"...dunno if that's exactly what the App is called lol. But I wanted something to show me the digital readout of my battery level and it does the job. Also estimates how much battery life remains.

Ah, wow. I drive a pretty old car and just bought a BT deck for $120 on sale....no fancy shmancy $800 deck for me lol. Sounds like something Apple would do if they produced cars...not to mention a Civic produced by Apple would cost about $80K for the base model. No A/C, no radio, no sunroof.

Re: N5 charging through USB very slow? Through the regular AC charger, my N5 charges as it should. But charging my N5 at work using a generic USB cable / work PC USB port, if the screen is on, my N5 discharges quicker than it charges lol. My battery app says it'll charge from 50% after like 8.5...

I tested out my Maps with my N5 on my Bluetooth car stereo and it worked pretty seamless for me. Didn't try it while on call, but I always play music via BT on my phone and when the turn-by-turn instructions come on, the music mutes a little, the instructions are said, and my music continues...
