My verizon g4 is showing the same "unknown sim card" icon, but I had used a verizon sim card before, so thats not the problem. Hope someone can tell us how to remove. I'm aware the G4 TweaksBox for exposed can remove it, but that feature is not free, and thats the only thing I need.

When the phone it's idle, wil be on 3g (umts) but once it has activity it will switch to H+ hspa... But your icon will always show H+, the stock rom is configured that way, do a search on google for i777 show true connection

Can you add widgets to the homescreen ? If not then you must have locked the desktop... Just hit menu, then more (unlock desktop)
