I think the only two reasons someone would want the Marquee: 1) You can looking for a smaller size phone 2) If you have a Sero plan, it would be only $10 more per month for Marquee (3G only), vs $20 more for the Galaxy 2 (4G).

If that didn't work, most people got the credit afterward when doing a eChat. If you have been with Sprint long enough or have employer discount plan, eChat will be happy to give you a credit for the activation fee.
