NO SHUT OFF, AND NO UPDATE!! It's been nearly a year since last post, when I *thought* my tablet would shut off. It does --- sometimes. I STILL have not been able to update my tablet, tho. I've tried Kies over and over and over.... no luck. The only think I have not tried is a factory reset...

Well, tried for the 2nd time to get the latest update through Kies. Don't think it worked -- altho Kies did actually back up my tablet. Now, whether deleting (copying to my computer) the 800 photos I had on my tablet 'did the trick', I'm not sure! Kies hung up at some point in the update, and...

Well, Kies never worked with my tablet, other than to say it was 'connected' -- didn't back up, didn't sync, and the update wouldn't work. Spent an hour 'downloading' and installing, rebooted itself, got a message saying update didn't work, try hooking it up to your computer via Kies...

Trying to get mine to back up to Kies, but it seems it's having a little trouble doing that. Afraid to try to the update without backing up some of my photos first. Really do not want to do that 'hard reset' and lose everything!! Gonna try a bit longer with Kies and/or DropBox and then see...

WooHoo! Got a call from Samsung today -- this is now a "known" issue and they are working on a "fix for it. It should come out soon, as an update. Tuesday, September 25, 2013

Anyone having 'shut down' issues? Mine won't power off! It does, then comes right back, like a restart.

Mine is doing the exact same thing.... Hold the button down to shut it off, tap the 'shut down' , tap the 'ok' --- it shuts down... the comes right back on! Only since the update. And it seems like my battery life is very, very short since this update.
