Wiping the cache and factory reset was a temp fix for me. I lost 17% overnight and just had to put my phone on charge. I'm getting ready to throw this thing in the ocean.

I reset my phone a few days ago and while it seemed to help for a day or two it didn't take long for the battery hog to come back in full force. I'm currently at 20hours usage with 19% left and the phone being idle for 90% of that time. Samsung needs to fix this already.

Quick update to my post 3 days ago. Battery life seems to be abysmal once again. I just lost 16% in 8 hours of the phone being completely idle.

Nougat update worsened my battery life. I wiped and factory reset this morning and it so far it seems better but it's really too soon to know.

Sames issues here; just wiped cache and formatted. Will report back if battery improves. Edit: about 5 hours later and battery already seems much improved. drained about 5% with minimal use. Hopefully this is a permanent fix.

Nougat has been draining my battery. Android OS is using most of my battery it seems. Just now it drained 16% overnight. I'm about to wipe the cache and format and see if that helps. I never should have updated everything was great before.

I've considered the V20 for a while now; minor bugs (reported) aside. It's too damn expensive especially considering for pre-order it was $200 off (with the throw-away phone). The N7 was expensive too but it felt justifiable, the v20 doesn't. At $500 the v20 seems much more attractive.

Restart the phone, make sure location is off; then try changing.

My guess is that if they're not released by the 14th then they'll save it for Christmas/New Years.

Not to run too far off topic but I'm considering this phone and am wondering what if the signal/reception is strong for Tmo on this phone. The missing LTE icon aside I've heard of older OP phones with weak antennas.

Yes you will be forced to update any older versions.

I've been having this issues since late July/early August when they had a GPS/Signal issue. I switched to a Note 7 then back to my Nexus and the signal has been horrible. I'm still on Marshmallow.

My Nexus 6 has a weak signal; My LG and Samsung both had much better signal.
