It is true. It is up on the front page of androidcentral and in every liveblog from google i/o. If it was on sprint it is what I would get.

I haven't used the step counter on the S4, but almost every fitness app out there has one built in. They are universally terrible. I think the fitbit flex would be great. Fitbit does a great job of allowing other programs to access the data from the fitbit and in taking in data from other apps...

One interesting thing I've read about though is that the battery will go brighter on auto-settings than it will let the user set it in manual. The explanation I heard was that they didn't want people walking around with it super bright and wasting battery. So, if you are about to walk outside...

Agreed. There isn't a ton I love about my Motorola Photon 4G, but I love the soft-touch back. I don't understand why that isn't a material used more often.

I get the business side of it, I guess my question really focuses on how HTC has been doing recently with upgrades. Obviously Samsung is going to want to update the GS4 to Key Lime Pie as quickly as possible and they did that this past year with ICS.

Which company (HTC or Samsung) has been better about updating the software on their phones? I'm going to be updating from a 16 month old Motorola where I'm still stuck on Gingerbread.
