I received and setup my regular 8 on day 1. So it's been about 3 full days of my normal usage and an identical app setup to my S23 and iPhone 13. The first two days it was consistently warm when it shouldn't have been, but ironically that seemed to settle down yesterday when my overall usage...

Only on the regular S23. The S23+ and S23U are all UFS 4.0.

Debating the 128gb S23 vs the 256gb. I definitely don't need the storage space. I also don't game much at all. But I do use my phone a lot for the usual stuff... texting, work emails, support tickets, etc. photos, videos of kids' stuff, and so on. I also use the Secure Folder a lot to split up...

What variant do you have? I have the Verizon version and it got an update out of the box, but nothing since then, and the shutter button definitely isn't doing that on mine. Not a huge deal, just curious.

Has anybody toyed with the zoom? It seems that when you zoom all the way in and take a photo, it actually comes out more clear than taking a normal photo and cropping it down to the same size (even if focused on the same spot). Is that a benefit of the extra camera, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus?

In doing some more testing last night, the phone can actually take some really good low to medium light shots if it grabs focus right and the subjects are holding still - they rivaled (and beat) my iPhone 7 in a couple of examples. I'd share, but they're of my kids and their faces really show...

Thanks for that - that's exactly the scenario I want to make sure isn't an issue. Ditto my last comment! :) Yeah that's pretty bad - good to know the grass isn't greener on the other side (if not worse...).

That is helpful to know, thanks. I don't need perfection in low-light - and don't expect it. But I want the shutter to take the shot when I press it and not be blurry. I'd rather have some noise and no blur, and get the shot I want, than have blur, a "muddy look", and miss the shot! My main...

Frustrating. I like everything else about this phone (only had it a couple of days). But I have 3 kids. Even still shots tend to have a little motion, and sometimes they're indoors and not in the best light. It sounds like if they even bat an eyelash in medium light, the pic is going to come...

So from what I gather looking through 90% of this thread, if I want to snap pics of my kids running around my back yard, regardless of the lighting, this isn't the camera to use. But for still shots, it's excellent in great light, and mediocre to solid in low light. Sound about right?
