Mine kept freezing at the reboot count down. The update was only 1 file now. I finally got mine to work by letting the update download then manually restarting the phone before clicking reboot and install.

This is exactly what happened to me. I wasn't even worried about the update but got sucked in when my phone said said an update was available. Now I have just been frustrated all day.

My phone's location is off too. It picked up after FROYO. I think it is a google problem. In google maps there is a report "my location" problem function. I reported my problem today. Hopefully they fix it.
