I know we don't like those pesky carrier contracts. But I am starting to think having a tablet with independent connectivity is an advantage. I hate having to find an open wifi network. Even having to pull out my phone and start up wireless tethering sometimes is a pain. Because of the battery drain, you really can't leave tethering on Sometime you wanna just pull out ya Galaxy Tab, Xoom or whatever you are rocking and just go. Unless you are rooted, you have to pay for mobile hotspot. Not to mention I cant get 4G wireless tethering to work on my Evo since I rooted. The bigger problem for me is not really even the contracts(although I'd like a month to month option, like AT&T has for the iPad), but rather these huge price tags for the 3G models. IDK, just my thoughts...what do you guys think???
