Why won't my Moto E 2nd gen install anything and how do I fix it.

My non-rooted Moto E 2nd gen will try to install an app for hours before finally giving up. It won't update anything and I want more apps. It runs android lollipop.

How much free internal space do you have? Regardless of how large your SD card is, apps are installed and updated to internal storage.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager. Now try again.

If that doesn't work, try going to Settings>Accounts-Google, select your Google account, and remove it completely from the phone. Then add it back again, and see if that helps.
