Hi all,

I have a question regarding the Factory Rest Protection.

I wiped my Moto G3 Saturday night, and I think somewhere in the process I changed my password. Apparently, as emails from Google on my PC would suggest.

Anyway now I get the standard "this device was reset....." message. I enter my gmail email address and password, and it goes back to the same screen. For fun, I entered my gmail email and a password I knew was wrong, and it came back with a message stating the password and email did not match.

So I know the first password and email are correct, am I experiencing the dreaded 72 hour issue before I can finish setting up the phone?

When the 72 hours is up, is the new password (the one that did not give me the mismatch message) the one I enter?
