I recently purchased moto G4 plus. When I first tried to connect it to my laptop, it went into charging. I chose MTP mode from notifications bar but it won't do anything. The PTP mode works fine but MTP doesn't. I have installed Motorola device manger on my laptop but when i connect my phone, no window pops up as is supposed to. I've also tried activating USB debugging and changing the USB option from charging to MTP in the developer mode but none of it has worked. The laptop doesn't respond in any way to the MTP mode.
When I go to device manger, it shows Moto G4 when PTP is used. However, it changes to unknown device when MTP is used.
I couldn't find any other stuff to try apart from what is mentioned above to make it work.
Any help would be appreciated.
