Moto X 2014 Pure Edition on ATT - Network Mode?

Q for anyone running the Pure Edition on ATT in the US. Can you go into Network settings and DISABLE LTE, I.e. force it to stay on hspa+? That menu is normally removed on ATT branded models. LTE at my house is very weak and our other LTE phone constantly switched back and forth (shooting battery life to pieces) until I found a way to disable LTE.

Do any of the LTE toggle apps work?

If you click on 'Preferred network type' just select WCDMA Preferred. That will put you on HSPA+.

EDIT - I may have misunderstood your post. Do you own the phone or are you a prospective buyer? Regardless, yes, you can switch off LTE straight from settings under the networks menu.

I have a pure edition on at&t in NYC. Here is the option under mobile network settings:
