Chatted with support today for a few minutes, and hey, they actually gave me some real information!

It's delayed until at least the end of week due to "delays at the distribution center."

Which I basically could already guess, but at least they confirmed it instead of flat out lying. So if you ordered a 64 gig version around September 12th and it's still stuck in "being built" then you could very well be in the same boat.

That's some interesting news. I sent an email and, at the advice of Moto's facebook page, said I wanted the issue escalated to an "Order Specialist." I'm supposed to have an answer by tomorrow, so I'll see what they have to say. I really don't want to have to call in and sit on hold for forever, so I hope they actually get this squared away asap.

Hey guys, Ordered sept 14th,Moto estimates it is supposed to arrive today but so far nothing. My tracking still says "being built" but after chatting with support they said not to worry it will get there when it says it will but unfortunately they don't have any tracking number for me. How screwed am I?
Just keep hitting F5 on FedEx delivery manager and once it shows up there it will be a few more days. Moto dates are drawn out of a hat.

I'm going to laugh if it ships tomorrow now.

You could be in the same group as me, in which case we are both in the same boat. I'd say it'll probably at least ship by the end of this week, just keep checking....

At this point if it says delivery tomorrow, I am inclined to believe them. As someone else mentioned, it usually all of the sudden shows up in your town at like 4am and gets put on a truck at 7am for delivery by 1030am as indicated.

Hopefully that is the case and I can get up and running before I go to work at 2.

I am with you guys, I'm getting very nervous that it won't make it tomorrow. However I do have wayyyyyy more faith in FedEx than I do Motorola. It was Motorola's fault for the FedEx delay anyway

No way they will make all those deliveries by 10:30 AM, unless Fedex borrows Santa sleigh.

Why couldnt they? Do you realize that fedex has a couple trucks per town, depending on size, that handle time sensitive packages like ours? I have never had them be late. Now, it helps that I live by the airport at which fedex operates, but still. I remember when my nexus 7 came, it got here at 745am.

Yup, and they fly a lot of flights at night.

The other thing to remember is these were shipped express, that's why we get 10:30am deliveries. This isn't your regular cheap shipping.

I'm still hopefull

...i order a stock black, 64GB device on Sept 2 w/delivery on 9/22. on Sept 3rd, status moved to "being built" with no change as of this post. contacted Moto today via (simultaneous) call/chat : call rep said it's been delayed 2 weeks due to back-ordered parts (couldn't tell me which part) and chat rep said it's on target to be delivered 9/22. nothing more to do but wait. :D
on a whim, i checked my status on Moto's website and status has moved from "9/3-being built" to "9/21-order complete"; no communication from Moto and no tracking info in my FDM account. only thing i'm interested in is knowing what's contributing to the delays and poor communications/miscommunications from moto-lenovo. a major part of my job is managing client relationships/expectations and i'm always intrigued how companies "manage clients/expectations" when the proverbial poo-hits-the-fan (e.g., ignore the issue vs. proactive communication and efforts to resolve issues). my phone will get here when it gets here.

Just got done with chatting with customer service. They said my phone (ordered 9/14 and built 9/15), was part of a delay in the distribution center and that instead of it arriving on the 21st (like it obviously didn't), but that it will ship on the 23rd and arrive whenever.

Mine is at a facility 45 mins from my home. Still not sure if it will be out for delivery today though. I'm hopeful.
