New keyboard issue (This time the period button)

Seems that I'm having a similar problem to that of the "Spacebar issue" that a few of us had a while back. Any time I use the period/question mark button on the physical keyboard, the program in use locks up and forces close. Seems to be the same reaction the phone was having with the spacebar. Ok well I seem to have found a fix. Testing it out it appears to have fixed the "Force Close" of apps. Will keep you posted if this problem occurs again.

Menu > Settings > Application > Manage applications > All > Multi-touch keyboard

Click "clear data". (It took my phone around 45 seconds for my phone to un-grey this option so be patient)
