Possible battery issue.

Over the last few days I've noticed that I'll charge my phone to 100%, leave it like that for a little while then I'll take it off the charger but as soon as i take it off the charger the battery drops to 99% straight away. Any ideas why it's doing this or how to fix it before it maybe gets worse?

Still running android 6.0 marshmallow in the UK.

As the phone ages, the battery loses capacity with each charging cycle. Also, 100% charge is only an estimate. It's likely a combination of the fact that your battery has lost charge capacity, a little, and the battery charge cycle estimate is just slightly off.

Well the battery still lasts a long time which is good. Gonna see how much battery power it looses when I'm at work today too. Was just worried coz my mum had this problem & the battery started failing & i don't want that. Got a year left till i can upgrade so want the battery to last as long as possible.
