Here's a shot taken out the window of my F150 going about 55-60 mph. It was an overcast day, in fact had been raining earlier, so there isn't a whole lot of light. The idea was to get a picture of Arkady's Market (it's a long story). I had picked the camera up a few seconds beforehand (thank you wrist twist camera on, Motorola) and was holding it in my right hand with finger poised above the "shutter" button. When I guessed the store would be in the viewfinder I took the picture. If you click on the image you can clearly read "International Russian Deli" under the store name. So, why isn't it very blurry?

Re: Pictures Taken With Your Turbo

I've had my Turbo about 6 weeks now. I knew going in there was supposed to be an issue with shutter lag, but I got it anyway. 2 "solutions to the shutter lag problem. One, don't plan on using this cam if you know you're going to be shooting action. Two,If you MUST use it for action shots, use the burst mode and start firing as soon as you can. Don't expect it to be able to keep up with those totally "surprise" action shots, cuz it won't. You may get lucky but don't count on it

A couple I took on a recent trip to DC that I think turned out pretty well. Sunset over the National Harbor dock.

That's a remarkable low light shot. Very nice. Clicking on the bottom of the two images and going full sized you can see the detail on the red/white/blue hub of the ferris wheel, the lattice work of the spoke supports, and most awesome, the tiny ripples of waves on the water's surface (which are not blurry, LOL). Nice.

Here's a pic I took nearing sundown when the light was striking the car just right. Photo was resized and compressed for web viewing.

Re: Pictures Taken With Your Turbo

This isn't the greatest camera in the android world, that's for sure. Most times it takes decent pictures, but only if there's sufficient light. Night or evening pictures forget it. I can't take any decent evening or night shots because the flash will create this yellow haze over the pictures. There's also a reddish tint to a lot of the photos.

The top photo was taken with the Droid stock camera, the second one I used an app called CameraMX. I took the photo below also with CameraMX (notice there is no reddish hue).

The Droid camera is only great depending on the light conditions. For example, the two photos below were taken with the stock camera. If you have sufficient light then the photo looks pretty good, but when you start getting any kind of shadows or dark areas then it degrades the quality and has that reddish tint.

Action shot.... These are very difficult to time right with this camera though. My BlackBerry Z10 and Z30 were the best with these type of shots. Still, I was happy with the result.

A dozen pics from my recent cruise. All using "A better Camera" with the default settings. Obviously cropped, but otherwise, untouched.
