Well, went to a store to buy the Turbo outright. I bought a Note 4 last week at Best Buy, but it's dropped a few calls at my house. So, wasn't happy with it, called BBuy, they mentioned the Moto X as having a good radio. I bought the MotoX full price so I could have them both side by side at home to test. I'm new to Verizon, signed up on their edge plan. I could have just purchased the phone outright though but BBuy said if I did that I would not get their $200 gift card promotion.
The Mx does have the better radio and sound quality overall is better. But then I find out two days later that the Turbo is out. So I thought I would just go buy the Turbo, do the Sim xfer at home (like i did with the Mx and Note 4) and if it sounded better keep it and return the others.
Well, Verizon says no way. Two stores and their website won't allow it because I'm in the edge plan for less than 30 days. I was trying to figure out why it would matter if I'm paying full price outright for the phone? Wouldn't they want me to have a phone I'm happy with to stay with Verizon?
Evidently not.. So, I'm either stuck with the Note 4 (the Mx is out because it's just outclassed by the Turbo for just a little more $$) OR I just leave Verizon and go back to AT&T (and find out what phones they have). I have a few more days to decide but it's looking like I may end up just leaving Verizon.
Interested if anyone else know a way around this nonsense...?
