Hi forum dwellers, I wanna get into the rooting scene again and I want to root my nexus 4. But I have some problems.

1. Parts of my screen are not responsive to touch so I won't be able to use CWM touch or TWRP.

2. I only have access to a mac and I'm unsure if there's a root method to do so.

My main reason to root is I want LTE (battery life is not a problem) and I need unlimited hotspot because I dislike T-Mo's plans. Anyone know root methods and some cool ROMs to flash?

1. use normal CWM and not CWM touch

Last I remember you can still navigate with volume buttons with cwm touch.
