Status Bar Going Up and Down Randomly

Thinking it was a software conflict, tried safe mode and factory reset and it was till happening. The status (notification) bar would pull itself down automatically as my fingers were at the center of the screen (no where near the top) . It would even show ghost fingerprints at the top on the status bar as if it was being touched. It would only happen if my fingers touched the screen and randomly.
It's been returned and getting a replacement. Just wanted to see if anyone else came across this issue?
Did a search couldn't find any mentions.

That happens to me if I get a drop of water on the screen but worst case scenario I just had to reboot it

No water. Wiped it with a cloth in case there was any diet.

No screen protector either.


Received the replacement now and it's fine. I guess it was a one off.

Did you have CM Security installed in your phone? There are some reports of this app causing a similar problem with the status bar.

Nope. It's barebones. Nothing added. Physically or software.
