Hello!
Trying to find out whether the Chinese Oneplus 7T model, Hd1900, could receive the US LTE bands if the global/NA firmware was flashed? Or is it hardware based? I remember with the Galaxy S7, the carrier models could change LTE bands just by flashing the different carrier firmware, so kind of hoping that's the case here....
Thanks!

It would be hardware. These are the bands on the Chinese/India version 7T.....

LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 13(700), 17(700), 18(800), 19(800), 20(800), 26(850), 28(700), 29(700), 34(2000), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500) - CN, IN

Depending on your US based carrier, you MIGHT be ok.

I'm using AT&T, but was also going to dual SIM it, if I had the chance. I believe I've read that the Chinese model also has band 66, btw. I might jump for the Chinese model because of the savings, but I've also found a Pixel 4 XL locally for $450, so I'll see how that turns out.
