No way around it - but not because of the phone. Some apps just won't run from the card (widgets won't, for example). If the developer knows that his app won't run from a card he writes code to disable the "Move" button, because the app won't work if it's moved, and because people will email him complaining that it doesn't.

The ones that get moved but don't work are the ones developed by people who don't know to check whether their app will run from a card.

(It's the way Android works - some apps just won't run from the card. If you must have your apps running from the card, root and run External 2 Internal SD (Root) - it swaps the internal and external storage, so if you have, say 4GB of internal storage and a 32GB card, you now have 32GB of "internal" storage and a 4GB "card".)

I got ZTE Obsidian from Tmobile. This model also doesn't allow move app to SD.
However, it was possible to go around by rooting it.
I used KingRoot for rooting the device. Just installed it and run it.
Then, AParted for partitioning the SD card. I resized current FAT partion and
created new additional partion with EXT4 file system. after formating and rebooting,
the two file system on SD worked fine.
Then I used Apps2SD to move (actually link) app onto new SD partition.
For binding or linking folder, FolderMount [ROOT] worked fine.
I have other ZTE phone and will try it later. hope this help.

For some reason Kingroot isn't able to root my device... Is it maybe due to an update? Do you know a new way to root the ZTE Obsidian for T-Mobile? Would definitely be amazing!
