Samsung issued a statement that the issue is caused by the inherent qualities of silicone. They will be putting out an update to fix this before too long.As anybody actually tried it with a Note 10/10+?
I just tried it and it DIDN'T work. I could not unlock my phone using an "untrained" finger and a clear case. I couldn't even do it with a plastic bag.
No. It was user error.Could this affect the Note 10 & 10+ series?
I have the factory installed screen protector on. I also have WSD screen protector which I haven't used. I was waiting until the original gets messed up.
That's not what I asked.Samsung issued a statement that the issue is caused by the inherent qualities of silicone. They will be putting out an update to fix this before too long.
Evidently, it only works if you have a full coverage silicone case. I tried it with the factory screen protector, a clear plastic case, and a plastic zip lock bag and it didn't work with Any of them.I'm not going to comb over news articles and posts for this ingenious piece of advice.
Has it occurred to anyone affected to just delete their Fingerprints and set a PIN instead?? At least until a patch is pushed out..
You're welcome!

This is what happens when outlets like Forbes write articles that is missing important information; like the fact that it only works with a specific type of screen protector.https://www.gsmarena.com/banks_arou...s10_and_note10_from_their_apps-news-39756.php
Now banks are starting to disable their fingerprint feature in their apps for note 10s and S 10s. Guess I'm glad I decided to stick with my note 9.

So that's why I couldn't use fps on my bank of America app this morning. That's sucky. I should be given a choice as to whether I want to continue using it. Smhhttps://www.gsmarena.com/banks_arou...s10_and_note10_from_their_apps-news-39756.php
