Not with my finger, but I can write an on-screen memo with the S-Pen. I can't interact with it beyond that or answer calls though.Does the screen not respond to touch at all?
Thanks. --I can't remember how to do either of those, thought I think one of them is pressing the power & volume down buttons at the same time?Try it safe mode to rule out a 3rd party app causing issues. I don't think it's the case but it's worth a shot. If that doesn't work try a factory reset after backing up your files.
Uh oh, I don't like the sound of that.Sounds like a touchscreen error, even though the wacom pen digitiser seems OK, the capacitive digitiser may be faulty
Are you able to unlock it from your Samsung account? Thanks. --I can't remember how to do either of those, thought I think one of them is pressing the power & volume down buttons at the same time?
Thanks for the link. I don't know how to turn it off so I've been waiting on the battery to die. How do I turn it off if I can't select, power off, reboot, etc.?Here are the steps for Safe Mode: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...a-5g/safe-mode-samsung-galaxy-note20-ultra-5g
For Samsung devices, you can usually force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 20 seconds.
I was able to do a forced shutdown and it rebooted normally before I could get it into Safe Mode. It seems to be working now. Any thoughts? Are you able to unlock it from your Samsung account?
Maybe it just needed a restartThanks, that worked and it rebooted before I could get it into Safe Mode. It seems to be working now. Any thoughts?
I am so glad it is working now. Keep an eye on it just in case and backup all your files now while it is working in case it happens again and you cannot restart it.Thanks for your help.
Thanks, I'll do that. I might also talk to Samsung tomorrow--I can't remember when the year warranty ends.I am so glad it is working now. Keep an eye on it just in case and backup all your files now while it is working in case it happens again and you cannot restart it.
You might be able to check on your warrant through the Samsung members app or see when you purchased through Samsung shop appThanks, I'll do that. I might also talk to Samsung tomorrow--I can't remember when the year warranty ends.
