Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Handwriting Pad

I was looking to add the handwriting Pad when s-pen is detected under Samsung Keyboard settings but I see it's grayed out. Does anyone else know what to do?

No real clue but on all the weird things I've had on this phone, when I've tried everything else, I just did a hard reboot. When it came back on, it was "fixed". And there have been some weird things. Stuff like this greyed out that shouldn't have been. I think it is still in shock. Gets put in a box somewhere overseas then wakes up in my hands? Bless its heart.

Same here. I want to be able to have vibration on each key pressed but the box to enable it is already grayed out.

I didn't have the handwriting pad to choose from when using Samsung Keyboard.
The only way I could get it back was to Reset the Keyboard. If you look at the bottom most option, try that out and it might save you from doing a hard-reset.

I think i found a fix for this.
For some reason the "power saving mode" greys out this feature.
Disable power saving mode and it should not be greyed out anymore.
If this doesnt work
Goto

Settings
backup&reset
Reset settings
Reset settings (bottom)


This will reset phone without deleteing apps and pesonal data
Kind of a soft reset to factory default settings

That makes sense and confirms what I had previously thought was that using the S-pen drains the battery more.
