Google Inbox app not displaying notifications?

Is this happening to anybody else as well? I have Nova Prime as my launcher and when I get an email, the Gmail app will show the notifications but the Inbox app just won't. Anyone?

what it is, you have to make sure all the categories that you want to get notifications for are checked, even if it's just regular mail, because by default it does, I think, social and updates/purchases, other than that, anything else you would have to have it checked.. I've done this correction and it works like a charm...

The ONLY problem I have with inbox is that when I state that I am done with the item, it keeps the message unread in my gmail inbox, which is a pet peeve of mine! Unless there is something that i'm not doing that can remedy that...

Any suggestions?

This is something that might work. Go to settings, click on your email address, not general settings. I'll post screenshots for the next things you choose and the screens.

I don't have notifications set on this account, but this is the other option I saw. It looks like you can choose the other folders if you want notification for them also, and pick different ringtones for each one.

If anyone tries this, please post back and let me know if it works.

Install Tesla Unread Notifications. You can look it up in the Play Store, or go directly to it through Nova Settings.

Once installed, go into your Nova settings to select the app(s) you want to receive notification badges for.
