Very close focusing always seemed to be a problem with Samsung phones, this is no better. Anybody else have this problem?

id like to see what others do

It does take a bit of time to focus when it's too close up. I just take the pic without zooming as much and then crop.

The quality of the shots is just amazing.

I agree. Samsung cameras require some patience but the shots you can get are amazing.

Here is a close up shot I took with the S5

I never have a problem with barcodes or up close, the Note 4 is great. Up-close needs some assistance focusing by tapping on the screen where you want the camera to focus but the photos are amazing.

I have to disagree as I get great close up shots that seem to focus quickly and amazing detail. I just took this in my office and was extremely close to her face. She is only 4.5 lbs., so small subject to begin with.

The only issue I have with macro-photography with my Note 4 is that the camera seems to be locked into a fixed aperture of f4.5. For macro work this means there is practically no depth of field. If the camera could stop down to f16 the depth of field would increase enough to keep more of the desired object in sharp focus front to back. But the quality of the image that is in focus is incredibly sharp.

Way over my head, boy I wish I understood all that photography tech! I'm really good at point-n-shoot though! LOL!
